Collaborating for
better health outcomes
for Greater Manchester

What is the Greater Manchester Public Health Network (GMPHN)?

We are the collective voice for public health in Greater Manchester. We work collaboratively to advocate for our 2.8 million residents and the communities in which they live, ensuring that their health is protected, there are opportunities for improvement, and that the services provided across the system are high quality, equitable and inclusive.

We work together as system leaders to reduce the impact of health inequalities, influence the building blocks of health and to mitigate where they cause harm.

10 Directors of Public Health across 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester

We are the 10 Directors of Public Health, utilising our independent professional autonomy collaboratively with our partners from Greater Manchester NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB), UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), the Voluntary Community Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) and other public health professionals from across the system.
