Jilla Burgess-Allen presented at Live Well through Creative Health in GM event
We joined partners from across GM to explore how Creative Health can transform lives and strengthen wellbeing in our communities. The room was full of energy, expertise, and genuine passion. Evidence for the benefits of Creative Health is clear and continues to grow. Creative activity isn’t just “nice to have” it’s a powerful tool for inclusion, connection, and health improvement.
If you’d like to explore the wider vision, you can read the Greater Manchester Creative Health Strategy executive summary here: the-greater-manchester-creative-health-strategy-compressed-1.pdf
A brilliant local example of this work in action is Stockport’s Annual Public Health Report, written by Jilla, which focuses on Creative Health and its impact: Stockport Public Health Annual Report: 2025 Creative Health
These events and the evidence capture an exciting and growing movement, one that places creativity at the heart of health and wellbeing for everyone across GM.
